Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University is one of the largest comprehensive governmental scientific institutions in the city of Riyadh. It was distinguished by the fact that it began specializing in Islamic and human sciences, then expanded to include the fields of science, engineering, and medicine. To keep pace with the development of the requirements and needs of the Saudi labor market, and to contribute to supporting sustainable development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it offers – in its colleges and institutes – study programs in various fields and sciences at all educational levels. As a culmination of its efforts to meet institutional quality assurance standards, Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University obtained full institutional accreditation (until 2026 AD) from the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Academic Evaluation and Accreditation.

The Scientific Institute in Riyadh is the nucleus of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. The university seeks to meet the educational and developmental needs of Saudi society by preparing scientifically, culturally, and intellectually qualified human cadres to serve society, providing an educational and cultural environment that serves the needs of the academic institution, and moving forward with programs Develop its human cadres. The university also contributes to advancing human development by offering diverse study programs at various levels.

Although the university has distinguished itself in its legal and linguistic outputs since its inception, it did not limit itself to that, but also established colleges and institutes to provide quality programs specialized in social sciences, linguistics, science, computers, management, and science Economics, engineering and medicine. The university is concerned with teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers. It has established an institute for teaching the Arabic language in Riyadh. The university includes 14 colleges, three higher institutes, and five scientific institutes outside the Kingdom, in addition to 70 scientific institutes spread throughout the region In the Kingdom, a decision was issued in the year 1442 AH to house scientific institutes in the Ministry of Education.
